[Heero is pointing a gun at an opponent in the shadows. His face is grim, and challenging. He faces Relena, as she steps out of the shadows]

There were times in my life

When I was goin' insane

Trying to walk through

The pain

[Relena approached Heero, and takes the gun from him confidently. Heero remains impassive, as Relena leans into kiss him softly on the lips - when their lips meet, Heero shoves her away violently]

When I lost my grip

And I hit the floor

Yeah, I thought I could leave but

Couldn't get out the door

[Relena goes flying away from Heero, tumbling onto the floor, sending her skirt flying. She lands hard on her right arm, breaking it. Wordlessly, she cradles her arm, shacking with pain, staring in disbelief at Heero]

[Heero approaches Relena, and reclaims his gun. He once again aims at Relena, with a hard expression. "I never wanted you," he states clearly, shattering Relena's hopes]

With a blink of an eye you finally

[Relena's face crumbles as she finally realizes that Heero means what he says. There will be no reprieve - he doesn't love her]

When the moment arrives that you know

["I never wanted you," Heero repeats. "The one I want is ..." Relena covers her ears, not able to handle Heero's statement, she begins to sob in loss, fear, and pain]

And I'm saying a prayer for the desperate

[Relena begins to pray softly, knowing that only one of them would be leaving the room when the night ends]

["Heero ..." Relena whispers. "You never wanted me? Even when you saved me?" Heero's mouth turns up slightly. "I only did that because killing you is *my* job," Heero replies. "I ... I ..." Relena is shocked speechless]

[Relena's face becomes composed, as she accepts reality. "I understand, Heero." She tells him, looking Heero straight in the eyes]

[Relena stands up, wincing in pain from her broken arm, and begins to slowly approach Heero]

[Relena has reached Heero, and leans to kiss him again. Heero, this time, does not push Relena away]

[Relena slumps, mid kiss and drops, limp to the ground. Her white dress is stained blood red around her heart]
