An Enemy or An Ally Chapter 3: The Truth Revealed...Or Is It? By: Silver Star "I'm hungry." Yuukuke complained. They have traveled about two hours already and they STILL haven't found where they are. "Hmm...Maybe I can grow some plants that we can eat." Kurama said thoughtfully. "I think I'll get meat instead." Hiei said and then jumped into the tree above them. Disappeared into the shadows of the forest. Kurama sighed and then took out some seeds out from his hair. He threw the seeds on the ground in front of them. As soon as the plant touches the ground, it turned into a big plant. What Kurama was unawares is the pair of golden eyes watching him from the shadow of the tree above. Planning... ****** Hiei continue to fly through tree (At least I think he's flying) until he catches a glimpse of his pray. An over grown rabbit. He grabbed the tilt of his katana and slowly moved toward the rabbit, making sure that it doesn't detect him. The rabbit stopped eating and look at him curiously and he stopped. Hiei continued toward the rabbit as it started to eat the grass again. Hiei pulled out the katana and *SLASH*, the rabbit is caught. He held up the rabbit and started to head back to camp. What he doesn't know that he is been watched...by a pair of golden eyes...looking for its pray. ******* "I'm full." Yuusuke said satisfied that he's not hungry anymore. "Good. You'll need everything you can get." A female voice said. "Wha-" Kurama said hoping it's not the person he thought it would be...no such luck. "I can't believe you don't remember me anymore." The voice said again as Yume step out of her hiding place. "Not again." Kurama groaned. "I'm back, too." A male voice said from the other side of them. Kurama turned around and find Black Raven standing on a tree branch. He's wearing a different clothing this time. Black shirt and pants. A black cape attached to his shoulder and a sword is attached to his left hip. His long black hair and cape sway gently with the soft breeze. He could almost said to be handsome except for the fact that he wears TOO much black. He smiled much to the discomfort of the three people that's trapped between the two powerful people. "I see you are back, too, Black Raven." Yume said calmly with a smile on her face, trying to hide the panicky voice inside her mind. "Maybe now I can get the fight I want." Hiei said thoughtfully to himself. "Yes, you probably could, Hiei." Yume said upon hearing him. "Let's fight." Hiei said drawing out his katana. Yume just smiled and pulled out the golden rose again. "Rose Whip!" She yelled and the rose turned to the gold whip they had seen about two hours ago. Kurama took a few seeds and a rose out of his hair. "Rose Whip!" He yelled and the rose turned into a spiky whip. "Let the final fight begin." Yume said and jump forward slashing her rose whip at Kurama. Kurama dodged the whip and slashed his own whip at her. She quickly used her whip to disconnect Kurama's whip, but it just grew back again. Over at the left of them, Yuusuke and Hiei is trying to defeat Black Raven. Raven took out two small sharp blades without handle and threw them toward Yusuke and Hiei. Hiei, been fast, missed the blade but Yuusuke was not so lucky. He got slashed on the upper arm and leg. Hiei run forward with his katana in hand ready to slash. Just when he was about to make contacts with Raven, he disappeared and reappeared behind Hiei. Kurama pulled out a seed from his hair and throw them in front to Yume and they exploded after it touches the ground. Veins coming out of the ground and wrapped them around Yume. She just smirked and the veins shrunk back to the seeds. "How-" Kurama still can't understand how Yume can control all the plants he throw at her. He's the master of plants! It seems like that Yume can control plants, too. Suddenly, he felt pain on his back. He sunk to his knees and blood start to spill out of the corner of his mouth. In a flash, Hiei is beside him. There's flash of 'something' in his eyes. Yume just kept on looking at them in silence, not knowing to help them or kill them. "I'm dying, aren't I?" Kurama asked weakly. "How can just a small blade kill you?" Hiei asked disbelieved, while cradling Kurama's silver head on his lap. "Because...there's poison on it." Yume said regretting all the things she had done to Kurama. Suddenly, she saw something that she never expected in Kurama's eyes while looking at Hiei. He had learn how to... "Love. He has learned to love. And Hiei love him back." Yume said softly. Slowly, she walked toward them. Hiei look up sharply. He gently placed Kurama's head on the floor and stood up in front of him protectively. Suddenly, he can't move. "Wha-" "I cast a binding spell." Yume explained before the question is asked. She walked to Kurama and cradled his head. Hiei tried to look back but he can't break the spell. "What are to going to do to him?" Hiei asked. There's a trace of fear in his voice. Yume didn't say anything, instead, she closed her eyes. After a moment, She and Kurama both started to glow silver. She then opened her eyes again. She looked down at Kurama lovingly. Slowly, she touched his forehead with her right hand. Kurama's eyes suddenly opened to stare into a pair of golden eyes just like his own. Yume smiled and got up. At the same time, the binding spell is broke and Hiei turned around, half expecting a dead youko lying on the floor and a female youko laughing staring at the dead youko she had kill. Instead, he saw Kurama standing behind Yume with a confused look in his eyes and Yume had a small warm smile on her lips. This is getting TOO confused for him. First, a female youko just as powerful as Kurama (or more) trying to kill Kurama saying that he had killed her parents. And now, she just saved Kurama's life! She walked to the battle between Yuusuke and Black Raven with hesitation. "Move aside, Yuusuke." She commanded him. Yuusuke turned around, got caught off guard and got blasted back to where Kurama and Hiei were standing, by a black energy ball. "It is OUR final battle now, Black Raven. I won't let you hurt anymore humans." Yume said calmly even though everybody there could hear a trace of regret in her voice. Slowly, she pulled out a silver metal badge from the sash around her waist. It had a gold fox and a (Chinese) silver dragon on it tangled together like one. It also has a hole in the center of the badge. "I never thought I would use this. Never in my life would I thought that I would use it against you, Black Raven." She sighed, knowing what to come next. "GOLDEN FOX!" The gold fox on the badge and Yume herself glow a golden color and then a gold fox spirit jumped out of badge. "SILVER DRAGON!" She yelled again. This time, the silver dragon and herself glow a silver color. A second later, a silver dragon spirit flew out of the badge. They both started to attack Raven while Yume just standing there holding the badge in front of her, eyes closed, and glow gold at one time and silver the next. Black Raven jumped out of the way of the both animal and pulled out another small blade. This time, the blade has a black print of a black raven on it. He closed his eyes and concentrated to the blade. The blade and he both glow a faint black and then the raven on the blade flew out and started to fight the other two spirits. Even though the good spirit is more than the bad spirit, the black raven is still more powerful and is weakening the other two spirits. Yume went down on her knees but still hold the badge in place even though she is losing energy and if she lost all her energy, she will die. Yume thought in her mind but she knew she can't hold on much longer. She needed energy. There's a rustle from the tree above. Hiei, as always, been the fast one saw that it's a girl with ice blue hair that tied into a high ponytail running in a incredible fast speed toward them. She almost looked exactly like Boten, but there's something different about her. Perhaps the cloths? She wore a sky blue Chinese shirt and pants. A white leather pouch dangled on her left side and a katana that's made out of clear crystal hang on her right hip. She quickly arrived at the scene. "Why do you have to use that, Yume?" The girl groaned. "May I ask who you might be?" Kurama asked as he put back the seeds that he was about to throw at the girl. "I'm Callisto, the Blue Crystal Dragon." The girl said not turning around to face the group, still looking at the battle. "She needed help." She finally said. She slowly walked over to stand behind the weakening youko. "I never thought that I'm going to give you this, Yume..." She said softly. "Heck, I never thought that I even SHOW it to you...but...now you need it and I'm not going to hold back." She sighed and opened the white leather pouch. She pulled out a clear crystal that has the shape of an eye. She closed her eyes and held the crystal on top of her with both hands. The crystal started to glow VERY faintly and it floated an inch above her palm. "Plants from all around us, surrender your energy and save you mistress...don't let her die. Gave her your energy!" She yelled. The forest around them started to glow a faint green color and a gray mist is coming out of the plants floating into the clear crystal. After all the gray mist floated inside the crystal, it floated directly toward the small hole in the center of the badge Yume was holding and fit in perfectly. Yume suddenly have a LOT of energy and started to fight back with great strength. Raven just smirked and another black raven spirit flew out of the blade. "Oh, man! She need more help!" Callisto groaned again. "Why can't YOU help her?" Yuusuke asked. "BECAUSE I'M A HEALING SOURCERESS!!!!!!!!! NOT SOME BLACK MAGIC USER!!!!!!!!!!" Callisto yelled blowing Yuusuke back. "Maybe I can wound him with my katana." Hiei said thoughtfully. "Sorry, can't do. It has to be a spirit." Callisto said loosing all hope of helping Yume. "What about my black dragon?" Hiei asked. "Black Dragon? What Black Dragon? Can you show it to me?" Callisto said a small trace of hope appeared in her voice. Hiei unwrapped his bandaged arm and show Callisto his Black Dragon tattoo. "Still can't do. It's not a spirit." Callisto sighed. "But maybe I can at least hurt him!" Hiei protested. "HAVE YOU HEARD ME????????? I SAID IT CAN'T HELP HER!!!!!!" Callisto yelled. "ALL RIGHT, ALREADY!!!!!!!!!" Hiei yelled back but Callisto can hear a trace of helpless in his voice. :::Help me...::: A voice said weakly in Kurama's mind, startled him. :::Please help me, Kurama...::: the voice said again. Kurama suddenly realized that it's a woman's voice and it sounds like... "Yume..." Kurama said softly to himself. He walked to where Yume kneeled and stood beside her. He held out his hand, in a flash of bright white light, a badge just like Yume's appeared in his hand. This one, however, has only a silver fox on it and it doesn't have an eye shaped hole on it. "What the hell is he doing?" Yuusuke asked. "He knows..." Collisto said softly. "What's going on?" Hiei asked Collisto but she just ignored him and Yuusuke. Kurama held up the badge just like Yume did and shouted, "SILVER FOX!!!!!" A silver fox spirit jumped out and gathered with the other two spirits that were fighting a hopeless battle with the black ravens. Then, something strange happened. The golden fox and silver fox waved together into one fox spirit instead of two. The fox spirit sprint toward one raven and the (Chinese) silver dragon flew toward the other. Then, there's a blinding light that everybody has to cover their eyes. The only thing that they could heard is the painful scream from Black Raven...at least they hope that scream was from Black Raven. And then, the light dimmed but still alight. Everybody looked up and saw Kurama and another girl who looked exactly like Yume standing to the right of Kurama. The girl has golden hair instead of silver like Yume and Kurama, and she wore the same thing as Yume but hers were gold colored. Her eyes are the color of silver instead of gold. A silver fox spirit appeared behind Kurama and a golden fox spirit appeared behind the girl. The silver dragon spirit appeared in the center of the background. After a few second later, the light faded and the girl turn to silver. Suddenly, everybody realized that the girl who wore gold IS Yume. The badge appeared in her hand again and the gold fox spirit and the silver dragon spirit went back into it. Kurama's badge also is back in his hand and the silver fox jumped into the badge. "What the hell HAPPENED?!" Yuusuke asked, amazed and confused. "You did it..." Collisto said disbelieve clearly show on her face. "YOU USED THE BADGE YOU DIDN'T DIE!!!! AND YOU KILLED BLACK RAVEN!!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!!" She exclaimed. Happiness showed in her eyes. "Tired..." That was all Yume managed to say before passed out...into a dreamless sleep. ******* "I guess this is where we say good-bye..." Yume trailed off as a single drop of tear slide down her cheek. She quickly brushed it away. "Can't you stay here? Maybe you can join our detective team?" Kurama said suggestively, still in his youko form. They are back in human world, on top of a building where nobody will see them from the bottom. A gentle breeze rustled their hair. "I can not stay...neither can Collisto..." "I'm glad she won't stay or I'll bet I'll be deaf before I'm 20." Yuusuke muttered to himself. Unfortunately, Collisto heard him. "Why you..." Steam started to come out of her ears and her face turned almost as red as the red ribbon that tied her hair up. "Collisto, please don't start a fight." Yume begged. Yuusuke just hid behind Kurama when he saw the steam and Collisto's red face that promised him pain. "Can't you at least tell me the story of my REAL past?" Kurama asked. "You mean, you don't remember?!" Collisto asked, forgetting Yuusuke for a while. "He only remembered how to summon his most powerful attack. 'The summoning of the fox spirit'. He still doesn't remember his past." Yume explained to Collisto. "Well, at least tell me who you are in your human form." Kurama said. "You'll find out real soon, Kurama. Real soon..." She trailed off as she turned around toward the raising moon. Her silver hair is replaced my red mane that was tied into a high ponytail like Collisto's. The weird clothes they had seen her in when they first met appeared to replace her dress of her youko form. Her cape rustled as she and Collisto walked away. Both don't want to go...but they have no choice. :::Good-bye...::: Kurama heard a whisper in his mind and smiled. Tears fall down his cheek but they were not sad tears, they were happy tears. "Good-bye...Yume..." He murmured and then turn to leave...walking away from somebody who was very close to him in one of his life time. He knew he wouldn't see her for a long, long time...:::Use it wisely, Kurama...use it wisely...::: ******* Kurama, now back to his human form, is VERY tired from that confusing fought and was glad that this was a weekend and Shiori was out. He was about to collapse onto his bed when he saw the rustle of a paper on his desk. "Hmm...I don't remember having a paper on my desk when we went to fight her." He has already finished his homework when Hiei came and was reading a book. He clearly remembered putting the book away before he went...or did he? He frowned and went to his desk. On the top of the desk is a paper. He was about to pass it as his brother's note when he caught something interesting on the paper. He picked it up and read it. He smiled after he read it and placed it back to where he found it. He walk back to his bed...thinking about a certain girl... ******* "Hey, did you hear?" A boy about Kurama's age asked a girl in the hallway. "Yeah! I can't believe she moved away so quickly!" The girl replied. "Don't you think it's strange, Shuuichi?" she asked Kurama. Kurama just smiled and nodded, knowing what they are talking about. He kept on walking down the hallway toward his locker...thinking about a certain girl...a certain youko...who is his sister... ******* Author's Note: Just want to tell you that this is not done yet.
