Scarcely shounenai? "Isagi-Kojima" details one of those profound platonic m/m friendships that crop up frequently in shoujo manga. The title character is an alienated teen whose emotions have nearly been stripped away by an abusive childhood and an indifferent educational system. Yuuji remembers the I-chan of his childhood, the Isagi who rescued the wounded young Yuuji from a deep rocky crevasse. The rest of the world has declared Kojima-kun incorrigible and given up on him, but Yuuji is drawn to the wild young man with whom he shares a past.
