Plot Summaries:

Takayama Jouichirou returns to Japan after living in Virginia for three years with his father. He enrolls in the same private school he attended as a child, hoping to meet his only childhood friend, Takashi. Much to his dismay, Takashi has changed - not only his name, but his personality, and to make matters worse, they're roommates in the school dorm.

Takayama and Higashi go in circles, Takayama haunted by the horror of a school shooting in his Virginia middle school, Higashi by the lonelyness of being abandoned by the only two important people in his life. In the end, Takayama's lust for life, and his 'no regrets' attitude prove to Higashi that withdrawing from relationships isn't the only way to live. In the end, they make a new beginning. - reviewed by MEverdark

Remarks:

This is one of those 'is it friendship or is it love' titles. The story itself is both touching and complex. The art is excellent, character designs are good, backgrounds are filled in and detailed. Tthe many secondary characters and their activities are well thought out, detailed, fully characterized, and add significantly to both the plot and the feel of the school.
