murder in midst of Akira's rape. The "demon" that constantly thirsts for sex was
also the same Akira that was able to pull the trigger on his rapist without a
thought. When Akira came to his senses seconds later, he realized that his ordeal and
initiation into his seventeenth birthday had just begun.
Better known for her short stories and gag yaois, this long running serial is something new to Nanase Kai. For someone who'd ventured into something of a drastic change in style, Kai did a fairly decent job. I am rather fond of this series, even if it's a trying experience to understand what's going on. It is a mystery after all, and the readers shouldn't expect to understand most of it until more revelations comes. A must pick-up for Kai fans. ~SLC |
Admittedly,
this first volume's quite confusing since most of it is dedicated to background setting.
Namely, the murder of the man who may be more than a typical wealthy power broker. The story
continued immediately with the entrance of an identity-less man who came to shuttle Akira
off to the elusive world he had obviously been involved with in the past the year and
three month.
