Theme: Canaan is one of a dozen human test subjects created by a private science lab for scientific research. After being tortured and caged for the little of his young past life, the tot made a mad dash and broke out from the laboratory to the sole figure whom he feels is his "father", a former scientist Tohya Hiiro, that bred him and others in the test tubes. Tohya’s caught in a cyclic dilemma of moral and institutional obligations. Tohya’s family owns the science lab and wants their test subject back while Tohya’s plagued with memories of Canaan’s young mother.

Overall Rating: 3.5 As depressing as the story is, it’s also very well written. Ishodoh’s story put a face on inhumanity and does it effectively.
