Yatteranze!: Koh Akizuki/Mieko Koide Chara Comics Genre: Shonen Ai Theme: Identity crisis endured by an easily dismissed 16 year-old model student who wants to be "different". The plain-jane kid enlisted the help of a popular delinquent (oh I am sick of this word) school mate whom he had admired and wanted to be exactly like. The burn-out proceeded to teach everything the kid every 16 year-old should know about being popular. Like masturbation and fine arts of billiards. Yaoi Value: 1.75 The characters touch themselves more than each other. Artist Value: 2 Unresolved Sexual Tension: 0 The nerdy kid’s too wishy-washy to leave the second-base. Overall Rating: 2 The "I wanna find myself" theme is slow as is. The whiney character on that quest makes the story moves even slower. Mitigating Factor: The delinquent had it with the wet noodle and dumped him. (How about that? A seme can dump an uke in manga-land...)
